Sometime towards the end of high school the thought that I’d know someone that did essentially everything first came to me. Now better late than never me is making something of that realized realization.
I believe the more we know about ourselves the greater the things we can accomplish.
My intention is to share information about what people do vs what we think they do. Bridging this gap between perception & knowledge shall help usher in an Understanding Age while reinforcing the human flourishing we all benefit from.
I know some great, amazing, hard-working and talented people, chances are you do to. I would like to introduce you to them & them to you. They may inspire you as much as they have me.
Here is a video with my thoughts on the project.
How do we “know” something & what makes that thing “great”?
This is subjective and will be the underlying foundation of this project. Now we have the What & Why answered, shall move on to the Who & How.
I began this with a written submission and then recoded conversations with people I have met in ways outside of their participation in this project. Here are some other current guidelines:
- Once someone has taken part, they too can bring someone they already ‘know’ into the project to discuss one of the many ‘great’ things they think that person does.
- Takes 1 person for the text submissions and though there is no current maximum on participants for recorded versions, at least 2 people in each conversation should have met in some way before participating.
- Initial questionnaire conversations could be strictly on topic but feel comfortable to meander & digress as long as you keep the main path in view. (the conversations after the first one can be as freewheeling as you’d like)
- Participants can return to talk about as many ‘great’ things they want to talk about. (current record as of September 2026 is 3 topics)
- Host are encouraged to ask all the questions in the questionnaire but participants do not have to answer them in order or at all.
- Listening to & understanding what is said is not tantamount to agreeing with & advocating for it. This is not advertising or proselytizing, but simply conversations between X individuals about Y topic in Z forum.
- If you record video or audio and do have a YouTube or other platform account add ikgp as a collaborator on YouTube and it will show up in the subscriber feed.
- If you record video or audio and do not have a YouTube or other platform account can send me the file and I will see about uploading on the ikgp account eventually.
- if text only send email and it will eventually be uploaded to blog.
I have a few more ideas, guidelines & suggestions that I shall keep you guys, gals & everything in-between updated on.
Next is the When. In August 2026 I began the first of an annual 33 week season of launching a storytelling platform. This will entail posting videos and/or podcasts every 3rd day. I Know Great People will be the primary focus of this first of 3 seasons. I plan on the questionnaire conversations to not be time sensitive. I foresee eventual addition of live recordings that are then published on a 6 day schedule. Once submissions and participation increases may get more than one release each 3rd day (Or would you prefer a multiple conversations released every 6 days?)
On to Where. Bookmark this site. For now shall be updating posts here & will include any new sources for listening or reading to the conversations of this project as they become available. Any new platform shall have the library of previous recorded conversations updated until it catches up to the main schedule.
I will be adding a How to page with instructions and templates of how one can go about recording, editing and publishing their own threads of these conversations using the free Zoom, free, Krita/Gimp for thumbnails, and free Davinci Resolve and Audacity for editing and publishing video/audio. You could use those, or develop your own. the key part is presentation and my suggestion is if there is one thing you want to put some time into is if recording audio, test the location for background noise and test how the sound recording comes across.
You can record in person or remote via other means of course but want to make sure cost is as low as reasonable to reduce barriers of entry for participation other than the very valuable time you are willing to contribute.
Interviewer or interviewee there are 3 means to enter I know great people via questionnaire conversation.
Check out the questionnaire page for the details about the conversations.

Most people lead their lives while minding their own business without knowing we need each other:
The hands need the legs and eyes need the mouth! We need each other to create a positive impact on ones life!
